What To Expect
Is an adventure with Grayhound for you?
With a trip on Grayhound, you are signing up for the adventure of a lifetime!
But, and this you have to know: We are not a cruise ship. On board, simple things like good food, laughter, or something as small as a sea shanty sung together at watch change become the true luxuries we hunt after.
You will fit right in if:
- you are up for an adventure
- you are excited – or at least willing – to help & learn to sail a traditional lugger
- you understand that on a sailing ship, mostly wind & weather dictate what the voyage will look like
- you seek the raw beauty of the sea, in whatever form it might come: calm and colourful sunsets over smooth waters or impressive waves while rushing along at 10 knots.

We will provide: wet-weather gear, a life jacket, bed linen, three delicious, nutritious meals per day and lots & lots of memories…
What you should bring yourself: water resistant footwear, enough warm clothing for night watches, and please no hard suitcases (they are very annoying to store on the ship!)
