Voyage Booking
For this voyage, taking just a bit more than a week, you will embark on Grayhound in the beautiful river delta of Pasaia and learn the ropes as we are heading north towards Grayhound’s beloved homeport in Brittany.
Sailing across the infamous Bay of Biscay, everything is possible:
We might encounter dolphins playing and jumping at the bow, watch the calmest and most beautiful sunsets or feel the power of wind & waves while the ship carries us safely through the seas.
Before you know it, you are a real part of the crew. You join a watch, steer the boat, learn how to set sails and dowse them… Be it how to belay a pin or coastal navigation exercises: Our professional crew is happy to teach you everything they can about traditional sailing.
To end the voyage, we might stop for a night at anchor somewhere along our beautiful coastline of Brittany before disembarking again in Douarnenez.
Not sure if this is for you? Have a look at our FAQ and what to expect onboard to help you decide!
our recommendation:
For adventure seekers who can organise just under a month away from home, we recommend booking this trip together with the sailing trip from Brittany to northern Spain (departure in Douarnenez May 8) and the festival stay in Pasaia… This way, you really learn the most you can about traditional sailing, enjoy the beauty of the basque country and get as much as possible out of your adventure of a lifetime!
🗣️ Since we are mainly sailing in French waters, the main language onboard is French. But don’t be worried: Most of the professional crew onboard also speaks English.
🕙 The departure/arrival times are indicative and are subject to be changed due to weather or other factors. We will communicate with you to be sure all is clear ahead of time.
