Embark on Grayhound to discover the bay of Douarnenez aboard our traditional 18th century Lugger replica !
During this trip of ~3 hours, you will get a first taste of the sea and traditional sailing. Our experienced crew will introduce you to the ways of sailing the ship, while making sure you get to admire the most magnificent views of the bay and other boats around us.
We will pick you up at the round Pier, the jetty opposite the café "Les Filets Bleus", on the port of Rosmeur in Douarnenez, and will drop you off again at the same place at the end of the day. A short safety briefing is presented and life jackets are provided; Then you step in a large zodiac (the boat's annex) to join the Grayhound at anchor. You climb from the zodiac to the deck of the ship, so make sure you are in good enough physical condition to join the ship!
The crew will of course assist you in all these things.
The itinerary might change from day to day with wind directions and conditions, but the captain always plans your trip to make the most of the day, while ensuring your safety. The crew will always be there to answer your questions and help you.

Embarquez à bord du Grayhound pour découvrir la baie de Douarnenez à bord d'un lougre traditionnel !
Pendant cette sortie de ~3 heures, vous découvrirez les joies de la mer et de la voile traditionnelle. Notre équipage professionnel vous initiera aux techniques de navigation, tout en veillant à ce que vous puissiez admirer les plus beaux panoramas de la baie et des autres bateaux nous entourent.
Vous serez pris en charge à la cale ronde, la jetée en face du café "Les Filets Bleus", sur le port du Rosmeur à Douarnenez et débarquerez en fin de journée au même endroit. Un petit briefing de sécurité vous sera présenté puis des gilets de sauvetages vous serons distribués. Ensuite vous embarquerez sur un grand zodiac (annexe du bateau) pour rejoindre le Grayhound au mouillage. Il vous faudra monter depuis le zodiac jusqu'au pont du navire, soyez donc sûr d'être en assez bonne condition physique pour rejoindre le bord. L'équipage sera toujours à vos côté pour répondre à vos questions et vous aider.
